Defect: On a number of Jeep Avenger ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles equipped with start/stop function and manual transmission the Stop&Start function may not activate correctly. This will result in the engine continuing to run when Stop&Start should be active not shutting off as Stop&Start is intended. This is due to incorrect BCM (body control module) coding software and therefore CO2 levels may increase which does not match the CO2 values homologated and displayed in the CoC (Certificate of Conformity).
