Defect: Ranger Platinum vehicles where the electronic child lock system may show as engaged on the orange light on the window switch pack on the door trim but the rear doors could be opened from the interior door release handle. A Child Lock Malfunction message in the cluster or a warning flash on the activation button may or may not illuminate.
Remedy: Modification to system wiring and system reset.
