⚠ What You Should Do
The retaining bolt for the rear shock absorber adjuster will be removed the mounting hole in the frame and the shock absorber adjuster will be drilled to accommodate the fitting of a larger diameter bolt and nut.
Recall Details
Defect: Certain P&A Profile Low Rear Suspension (P/N 54000134) or P&A Tall Rear Shock (P/N 54000294) kits intended for installation on certain Softail motorcycles contain a fastener that retains the shock absorber adjuster which may fail.
Remedy: The retaining bolt for the rear shock absorber adjuster will be removed the mounting hole in the frame and the shock absorber adjuster will be drilled to accommodate the fitting of a larger diameter bolt and nut.
