Recall Details
Defect: Last EMS/ACM SW release introduced a bug in the Regeneration Management system on some B8R and B5LH/TL vehicles. This bug increases the AHI flow at start of regeneration resulting in too much fuel being injected into the muffler. As a consequence there is a risk of very high temperatures inside the muffler with a risk of a thermal event.
Remedy: Volvo retailer will Reprogram the affected ECUs.
