Defect: On affected vehicles a reduced diameter shank bolt can cause the pin for the torque reaction link to move within the joint causing excessive wear and potential early failure. In a worst-case scenario failure of the rear lower suspension arm can affect vehicle handling and braking with an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy: Replace the rear torque reaction bolts and if necessary replace the rear lower suspension arms.
