Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the plug supplied does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The live and neutral pins do not meet minimum height requirements and the sleeving on the pins have burrs and ridges. Over time, the plug pins may cause damage to the socket and result in the socket connectors overheating and igniting, causing a fire.
Additionally, the remote control contains coin batteries but does not have the required warnings. The product was not supplied with any instructions to ensure safe use of the electrical equipment and improvements to documentation and markings are required.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
