Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire because the earthing terminal is not fitted with a secondary locking device, which is required to prevent accidental loosening. Over time, this could cause the connection to become loose or detached, leading to overheating and fire. In addition, the plug fuse is underweighted and suspected to be counterfeit. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product in fault conditions.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
