Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and may not make a secure connection with the socket. This could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding. The plug is also fitted with a counterfeit fuse link which does not conform to the requirements of BS 1362. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the plug under fault conditions. Improvements are required to product documentation and markings.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
