Recall Details

Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the end caps on the plug’s fuse measured below the minimum permitted diameter and did not include any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding.

Additionally, the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 as the live pin measured below the minimum permitted width. Improvements are required to product documentation and marking.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc (Safety) Regulations 1994.
