⚠ What You Should Do

GKN Automotive will reimburse any customers for the cost of the recalled side shaft or CV joint and for their labour to install a replacement side shaft or CV joint of their choosing. GKN Automotive will also repurchase any remaining inventory from any distributors or retailers.

Recall Details

Defect: Certain side shafts and CV joints manufactured in China do not meet GKN Automotive’s heightened original equipment level specifications for ultimate strength.

Remedy: GKN Automotive will reimburse any customers for the cost of the recalled side shaft or CV joint and for their labour to install a replacement side shaft or CV joint of their choosing. GKN Automotive will also repurchase any remaining inventory from any distributors or retailers.
