⚠ What You Should Do

Install a crankcase pressure sensor and a pressure relief valve.

Recall Details

Defect: On vehicles with the affected engine the piston crown may develop a crack creating elevated crankcase pressure leading to a fracture of the valve cover. A fractured valve cover may allow oil to escape and in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Install a crankcase pressure sensor and a pressure relief valve.
