Defect: The vehicle fuel pump may have an internal malfunction which may fail over time. The malfunction indicator light MIL on the vehicle instrument cluster may illuminate when this symptom occurs and if ignored and the vehicle continues to be driven the vehicle may lose motive power.
Remedy: The affected vehicles will have the fuel pump replaced as a permanent solution
