As part of our planned recall campaign we will check the tires on potentially affected vehicles as a precautionary measure. Affected tires are then directly reported to Michelin and replaced.
Recall Details
Defect: At Mercedes-Benz we constantly monitor our products to ensure the highest quality and safety. The tyre supplier Michelin notified Daimler Truck AG as part of a voluntary declaration that a circumferential crack in the tyre sidewall may occur on your vehicle with 355/50 R 22.5 Michelin X MULTI Z and X LINE ENERGY Z type truck tyres. Vehicles that have been equipped with potentially affected Michelin tyres should therefore be checked.
