Recall Details
Hazard
When in automatic mode, if a person enters the area under the lifting chair during the upward part of the lifting cycle they could, in specific circumstances, remain undetected by the working area protection device.
This is due to a blind zone extending 500mm from the face of the two circular ultrasonic sensors underneath the lifting chair.
A person within this blind zone when the downward movement starts may not be detected, resulting in them being struck or crushed by the descending machinery and / or load.
Users are reminded that the equipment must be operated in accordance with the operating instructions, user manuals and training provided, and that entry into the working area should be avoided while the machine is in automatic mode.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
