Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug is fitted with a counterfeit fuse link that does not contain any granular filler or conform to the requirements of BS 1362. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding. Additionally, the mains supply cord had excessive resistance. Improvements to documentation, product instructions, and markings are required.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
