Recall Details
Hazard
The product presents a risk of entrapment because:
The rotating table creates multiple trapping and entanglement points with fixed parts of the machine. There are no safeguards or protective measures to prevent access to these hazardous areas during operation.
Although an emergency stop button is fitted, the machine does not incorporate an emergency stop relay within the control circuitry. This prevents the machine from stopping safely and reliably in an emergency.
The main body door is secured only by plastic latches, allowing easy access to live electrical parts while the machine is in use.
The product also presents a risk of electric shock and fire because:
The main frame and doors are not adequately earthed and could become live in the event of an electrical fault, exposing users to electric shock.
The machine is fitted with a 20 amp fuse in a standard 3‑pin plug, which exceeds the rated capacity of UK socket outlets and may lead to overheating or fire.
The electrical cable supplying the motor is not adequately supported or secured, increasing the likelihood of damage and exposure of live conductors.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
