Recall Details

Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the supplied plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and does not have a fuse link. The fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding. There is also no evidence that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. In the absence of evidence to demonstrate the conformity of the product, it may be possible for it to overheat and catch fire.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
