Recall Details

Hazard

The product presents a risk of electric shock because the live pins are too short and do not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. As a result, the adaptor may not form a secure connection with a socket, which could allow users to come into contact with exposed live metal parts. The inadequate pin dimensions may also result in overheating and sparking at the socket interface, presenting a risk of fire.

Improvements are also required to the product labelling and accompanying documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
