The product presents a high risk of electric shock and fire because poor-quality internal electrical connections may loosen and arc during normal use. Arcing was observed during testing, indicating a risk of overheating, fire and accessible conductive parts becoming live. Concerns were also identified regarding the adequacy of insulation to prevent electrical breakdown.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
