Hazard
The product presents a risk of electric shock because it has poor quality internal connections, including wires soldered directly together with no strain relief. Over time, the wires could detach and cause the product to become live. If a user touches exposed metal parts, they could receive an electric shock. The poor connections may also cause arcing, which could lead to overheating and a fire. Improvements are also required to product marking and labelling.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
