Products with the affected date stamp have been recalled by Ikea. The recall commenced in June 2025.

Consumers who own one of the affected stirring spatulas should immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.

The product presents a health risk due to the migration of primary aromatic amines (PAA) above the permissible limit. PAAs are considered carcinogenic.

The product does not meet the requirements of The Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (England) Regulations 2012 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
