The product presents a risk of electric shock because the protective grille can be removed during routine maintenance, allowing access to high-voltage parts. These parts remain energised, or may retain a hazardous charge, after the grille has been removed. If a user comes into contact with the exposed components, they could receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
