Product Safety Report: Eclipse / Embrass Peerless Universal Circulating Pump (2607-0037)
Official product safety report including images and corrective action β
β What You Should Do
An installed pump can remain in operation, but you must take care not to handle affected pumps as there is a serious risk of electrocution.
Embrass Peerless have launched a replacement programme and are advising consumers who own an affected pump to conduct a visual inspection. Do not touch the pump or its housing.
Visually inspect the mains connection to the pump. If the connection is connected so that the clip is at the bottom and connected and the three plastic lines are at the top and connecting to the βthree linesβ on the pump housing, then your pump is correctly installed.
If the mains connection is connected with the clip to the top, and the three lines on the bottom, your mains electrical connection is not fitted correctly. Immediately take a photograph of the pump in situ and then email to it to technical@embrasspeerless.co.uk. Installed units of the Eclipse Universal Circulating Pump should only be replaced or serviced by an approved, qualified service engineer or installer.
