Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as there is no evidence to indicate that the bike, battery charger and battery have been manufactured to the required safety standards. The product has not been assessed using the relevant UK conformity assessment procedures and has no valid documentation. The charger is also fitted with a 2-pin plug with no fuse. If a fault were to occur, the battery may explode, and a fire may start. No instruction manual was provided, and improvements are also required to product marking and labelling.   

The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
