Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock because it is designed so that multiple light units can be connected together in a “daisy-chain” arrangement using connectors on each end of the fitting. To connect an additional light, a protective cover must be removed, which exposes live and neutral pins at mains voltage. If the connector is left uncovered, or if a connected light or linking cable is removed, users can access live parts and receive an electric shock. The product was also supplied with a counterfeit fuse which may fail to provide adequate protection in fault conditions.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
